Overview

Tethr is a personal productivity app for capturing tasks, events, habits, projects, and related planning notes. The app is designed so each user connects their own Supabase backend. Your task and event data is stored in the Supabase project you configure for the app.

Wishlist Emails

If you join the Tethr wishlist, the app collects the email address you submit, the page source, and basic request metadata such as browser user agent and referrer. This information is stored in a Supabase project controlled by the app owner and is used only for beta access, onboarding, and product updates related to Tethr.

Google Calendar Access

If you use the Google Calendar import feature, Tethr requests this Google Calendar Events read-only scope:

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events.readonly

Tethr also requests this calendar-list read-only scope so it can find selected calendars instead of importing only the default primary calendar:

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.calendarlist.readonly

Tethr may also request this Google Tasks read-only scope so it can import due-dated tasks shown in Google Calendar's Tasks layer:

https://www.googleapis.com/auth/tasks.readonly

These permissions let Tethr find your selected readable calendars, import upcoming events into your Task Tracker Events table, and import due-dated Google Tasks into your Tethr Tasks table. Tethr does not create, edit, or delete Google Calendar events or Google Tasks.

Google User Data We Access

When you choose to import from Google Calendar, Tethr may read the following event fields:

  • Event title.
  • Start and end date or time.
  • All-day status.
  • Location.
  • Description or notes.
  • Google Meet link or Google Calendar event link, when provided by Google Calendar.
  • Calendar name and calendar ID, used to find selected calendars and label imported notes.
  • Google Calendar event ID, used only to avoid duplicate imports.
  • Google Task title, notes, due date, task list name, and task ID, used only to import due-dated tasks and avoid duplicates.

How We Use Google Calendar Data

Google Calendar data is used only to provide the import feature that is visible in the app.

  • Imported Google Calendar events become Tethr Events in your configured Supabase project.
  • Imported Google Tasks become Tethr Tasks in your configured Supabase project.
  • Google event and task IDs are stored as tags so repeated imports can skip duplicates.
  • The Google access token is used in your browser for the import request. During same-tab authorization returns, Tethr stores it temporarily in browser storage and clears it after the import attempt.
  • Google Calendar data is not used for advertising, retargeting, credit decisions, or sale to data brokers.

Storage And Sharing

Imported calendar events are stored in the Supabase project connected by the user. Tethr's shared frontend does not require a server-side copy of your Google Calendar data for the import feature.

Tethr does not sell Google user data and does not transfer Google user data to third parties except as needed to provide the user-facing import feature, comply with applicable law, or protect the app and users from abuse.

Google API Limited Use

Tethr's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Other App Data

Tethr stores app data such as tasks, events, habits, project files, project instructions, settings, and account metadata in the Supabase project configured by the user. Optional Gemini features send the user's provided project text, files, and task context to the configured Supabase Edge Function so it can call the configured Gemini model.

The app may use local storage in your browser for configuration, UI preferences, cached settings, and login session state. The hosted site also uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for basic site measurement; this does not intentionally include task contents or Google Calendar event contents.

Deleting Data And Revoking Access

  • You can delete imported events inside Tethr.
  • You can delete records directly from your Supabase project if needed.
  • You can disconnect Tethr's Google access from your Google Account permissions page.
  • You can clear local app configuration from the Tethr sign-in screen's backend settings.
